This property was originally owned by the Lighton family and was part to a 160 acre parcel known as Happy Hollow Farm. Mr Lighton had an interest in organic farming and was successful in restoring the soil with organic materials so that it would consistanly produce a bountiful harvest. The Farm was eventually sold to the Methodist Assembly near the end of World War 1. The current dwelling was constructed in 1922.
